Studio Policies
A welcoming, safe, and respectful space for everyone. Please read our studio guidelines.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class. Late entry may be refused to avoid disruption to other participants.
Appropriate Attire
Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothing. Grip socks are recommended and required for Reformer classes.
Silent Devices
Please switch your phone to silent or vibrate before entering the studio. Photography is prohibited during sessions.
Scent-Free Zone
Please avoid strong perfumes, colognes, or scented products as they may affect members with sensitivities.
Hygiene
Shower before class if possible. Bring a small towel. Equipment must be cleaned after use with provided wipes.
Water & Food
Water in a sealed bottle is welcome. Please do not eat a heavy meal within 2 hours of class. No outside food allowed in the studio.
Arrival & Punctuality
- Please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your class start time to settle in, set up your equipment, and inform your instructor of any relevant health conditions
- Late arrivals may be refused entry at the instructor's discretion. Entering a class in progress is disruptive to other members and the instructor
- If you are refused entry due to late arrival, your booking credit will not be refunded, as this is treated as a no-show
- If you are running late, please notify us as early as possible so we can offer your space to someone on the waiting list
- Classes start on time. We cannot delay the start of a class for late arrivals
Dress Code & Footwear
- Wear comfortable, form-fitting exercise clothing that allows you to move freely and that your instructor can observe your alignment
- Avoid loose, baggy clothing that could catch on equipment or obscure your body position
- Grip socks are strongly recommended for all mat classes and mandatory for all Reformer classes to ensure safety on the equipment
- Street shoes must be removed before entering the studio. Please leave shoes in the designated area at reception
- Bare feet are permitted for mat classes; however, grip socks provide better stability and hygiene
- Grip socks are available to purchase at reception if you do not have your own
Mobile Phones & Technology
- Please switch your phone to silent or vibrate mode before entering the studio
- We ask that you refrain from taking or making phone calls inside the studio during class time
- Photography and video recording inside the studio is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Home of Pilates management and the individuals involved
- Photography of other members without their explicit consent is a violation of privacy and will result in immediate removal from the class
- Smart watches and fitness trackers are permitted but should not cause distraction during class
Personal Hygiene & Scent Policy
- In the interest of all members, please shower before class where possible, particularly if arriving from another physical activity
- We operate a scent-free studio policy. Please refrain from wearing strong perfume, cologne, aftershave, or scented body lotion before attending. This is essential for members with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities
- Please bring a clean personal towel to place on your mat or equipment during class
- All studio equipment must be wiped down with the disinfectant wipes provided both before and after use
- Mat rental is available at reception if you do not bring your own
Food & Drink
- Only water in a securely sealed, non-spill bottle is permitted inside the studio during class
- Please do not eat a large meal within 2 hours of your class to avoid discomfort during exercise
- Food is not permitted inside the studio
- Drinks other than water (e.g., coffee, juice, energy drinks) are not permitted in the studio space, though they may be consumed in the reception or waiting area
- Chewing gum is not permitted during class for safety reasons
Health Disclosures
Your safety is our top priority. You must inform your instructor before class of any of the following:
- Current or recent injuries, including joint or muscle issues
- Recent surgery or medical procedures (within the last 12 months)
- Pregnancy (at any stage) or if you are recently post-natal
- High or low blood pressure, heart conditions, or breathing difficulties
- Osteoporosis, arthritis, or any other bone/joint condition
- Any prescribed medication that may affect your exercise capacity
Providing this information does not exclude you from participation โ in most cases, your instructor can provide appropriate modifications. Withholding relevant health information may put your safety at risk and affects our ability to teach you safely.
Respect & Community Standards
Home of Pilates is a community built on respect, encouragement, and positivity. We ask all members to uphold these values:

- Treat all instructors and members with kindness and respect
- Arrive on time and ready to participate
- Follow instructor guidance and class structure
- Clean equipment after every use
- Return equipment and props to their proper place
- Speak to a staff member if you have concerns
- Celebrate your own progress at your own pace
โ Please Don't
- Arrive late and disrupt the class in progress
- Use your phone during class
- Photograph other members without consent
- Coach or correct other members uninvited
- Make negative or disparaging comments
- Bring food into the studio
- Attend if you are unwell or have a contagious illness
Children & Visitors
- For the safety and concentration of all participants, children under 16 are not permitted inside the studio during classes unless there is some organised group event where children under the age of 16 are allowed specified by event organiser
- Babies and young children may not be brought into the studio space. This is to maintain a calm and focused environment
- Visitors who are not participating in a class must remain in the reception area
- We do not offer childminding services. Please arrange childcare before attending your class
- Members aged 16โ17 must have written parental or guardian consent before participating in any class
Personal Belongings
- Please leave valuables at home. Home of Pilates cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items
- Storage facilities (cubbies or lockers) are available in the changing area for your belongings during class
- Bags and large items must not be brought onto the studio floor
- Lost property will be kept at reception for 2 weeks and then donated to charity if unclaimed
Studio Environment
- Our studio is a non-smoking and vape-free environment. Smoking or vaping is not permitted on the premises or within 5 metres of the entrance
- Members who arrive under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be refused entry and their membership may be terminated
- Please keep the studio tidy. Use the bins provided and help us maintain a clean environment for everyone
- The studio temperature is set for comfort during exercise. Please dress appropriately if you are sensitive to temperature
Enforcement & Right to Refuse
Home of Pilates reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry to any person who arrives late, is under the influence, or has previously violated our policies
- Remove any member from a class who is behaving in a manner that is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful
- Suspend or terminate a membership without refund in cases of serious or repeated policy violations
- Refuse service to anyone at our reasonable discretion
We will always attempt to address policy concerns with members respectfully and privately before taking formal action, except in cases involving safety or serious misconduct.
